Hand-Picked Recipes for Fall Apples

Here at the Sherpani office, we are cozying up to the idea of Autumn...


Whether you're entertaining or just want to get in the Fall spirit-- we've got you covered! I have asked each Sherpani team member to disclose their favorite fall apple recipes. All tried and tested for deliciousness, each hand-picked recipe will be sure to be a hit!


Crockpot Bourbon Apple Cider

6 cups Apple Cider

1 Orange (sliced)

2 Cinnamon Sticks

1.5 cups Bourbon

Put all ingredients in a crock pot, except Bourbon, on low heat for 3 to 4 hours. Then stir in bourbon! Serve in mugs and garnish with cinnamon sticks if you like!


Apple Cinnamon Fruit Leather

4 cups Apples (peeled and chopped)

1/2 cup Water

1-2 tbsp Sugar

1 tsp Cinnamon

Preheat your oven to 170°F . Wash, peel and chop apples and place them in a medium saucepan. Add water and bring to a simmer. Cook apples about 10 minutes or until soft. Add cinnamon and sugar and mash. Cook 2-3 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally. Pour mixture into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread until even with a spatula (you can whack your baking sheet on your counter a few times to get a really even spread!). Bake for 2-3 hours or until tacky but doesn't stick to your finger. Let cool, cut into strips and enjoy!

Carmel Apple Sangria

1 750ml bottle of Pinot Grigio (or your favorite mild white wine)

1 cup Carmel Flavored Vodka

6 cups Apple Cider

2 medium Apples (cored and chopped)

Stir the wine, vodka and apple cider together in a pitcher. Core and chop the apples. Add the chopped apples to the pitcher or individual glasses. Serve over ice and enjoy!  


Vegan Apple Fries with Vanilla Coconut Cream

Oil (suitable for frying)

2 Apples (peeled, cored and sliced)

1/4 cup Cornstarch

1/4 cup Sugar

1 tbsp Cinnamon

1/2 cup Coconut Milk

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Heat your oil in the bottom of a pan on high heat. Combine cinnamon and sugar and set aside. Peel, core and slice the apples and coat them in cornstarch for frying. Once the oil is hot, fry each slice for 3 minutes on each side (they should turn a golden brown). Transfer fried apples to a plate with a paper towel to soak up any excess oil. Toss the finished apples in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Whip up the coconut milk and vanilla with an electric mixer and enjoy!
